Age: ; Location: Saghez prison; Status: Risk of immediate execution; Date condemned: Before September 2009

Nasser Abdolhosseini and Reza Kazemi were sentenced to death in the "show trials" in connection with the post-election unrest; Nasser Abdolhosseini was also charged with membership in MKO. They had no access to a lawyer in the initial stages of their detention and may have been coerced into giving a confession. The Iranian regime has announced it plans to execute these two men, together with seven others charged in connection with the post-election events, "soon" and Amnesty fears this may occur before the anniversary of the Revolution on 11 February. As Abdolhosseini and Kazemi were not permitted legal representation, the Islamic Republic violated their rights under Article 10 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).
